Privacy Policy
Last updated: 18 September 2026
Summary: your images and the PDFs you create are processed entirely on your device. They are never uploaded to, stored on, or seen by our servers or anyone else. The site uses Google Analytics for anonymous, aggregate usage statistics (see section 3) — this never includes your files, their names or their contents.
1. Files you convert
This website is a static site: it consists only of HTML, CSS and JavaScript files delivered to your browser. When you select images, they are read by your browser using the standard File API and the PDF is assembled locally by the self-hosted jsPDF library. No image data, file name, metadata or resulting PDF is transmitted over the network at any point.
Once you close or reload the page, all working data is discarded from memory.
2. Data we do not collect
- We do not require or offer user accounts.
- We do not collect names, e-mail addresses or other personal details through the tools.
- We do not use advertising networks and we do not show ads.
- We do not sell or share any data with data brokers.
- Other than the Google Analytics script described in section 3, we do not load scripts, fonts or libraries from third-party servers — every conversion library is self-hosted.
3. Analytics (Google Analytics)
This site uses Google Analytics 4 (measurement ID G-HWF99TWE0K), loaded via Google's gtag.js script from googletagmanager.com, to understand how the site is used in aggregate — for example which pages and tools are visited, approximate geographic region, device and browser type, and how visitors found the site. This helps us decide which tools to build and improve.
Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (such as _ga) on Google's behalf to distinguish visits, and the collected data is processed by Google under the Google Privacy Policy. Google Analytics never receives the files you convert, their names, their metadata or their contents: all conversion happens locally in your browser, so no file data exists on the network for analytics to see.
You can opt out of Google Analytics at any time by installing Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on, by blocking cookies for this site in your browser settings, or by using a browser or extension that blocks analytics scripts. Every tool will continue to work fully with analytics blocked.
4. Local storage and cookies
The site stores two values in your browser's localStorage: your chosen light/dark theme (jpg2pdf-theme) and a small flag (jpg2pdf-visited) that stops the first-visit animation on the drop zone from replaying. Neither value leaves your device, and both can be cleared at any time through your browser settings. The site's own code sets no cookies of its own; the only cookies used are the Google Analytics cookies described in section 3.
5. Server logs
Like virtually every website, the hosting provider that serves these static files may keep standard technical access logs (such as IP address, browser type, requested file and timestamp) for security and operational purposes. These logs are not used to identify individuals, are not combined with any other data, and never contain the content of files you convert (because those files are never sent).
6. Contact form
The contact page does not send data to us directly. It prepares an e-mail in your own mail application (via a mailto: link), so any message you choose to send is transmitted through your e-mail provider under its privacy terms.
7. Children
The service does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.
8. Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and the “last updated” date above.
